Statistics: Russia’s inflation again at zero Oct 10–Mon
MOSCOW, Oct 18 (PRIME) -- Russian consumer prices have not changed for a sixth consecutive week from October 10 through Monday, while inflation has reached 1.7% since January 1, the Federal State Statistics Service said in a report on Wednesday.
In the reported week, prices for eggs grew 1.9%. Sterilized milk, sour cream and cheese inflated 0.2%. Prices for sugar decreased 1.3%, prices for buckwheat went down 0.6% and for tea, millets and flour dropped 0.2-0.3%.
Prices for fruit and vegetables increased 1.5% on average. Fresh cucumbers and tomatoes prices rose 15.3% and 11.2%, respectively, whereas prices for cabbage, onions, carrots and apples dropped 1-1.8%, and for potatoes slid 0.2%.
Gasoline prices remained flat and diesel fuel prices rose 0.2%.
